Memorial Day and Safe Driving

Although Memorial Day traditionally honors and remembers our fallen heroes, it also marks the unofficial start of summer. Safety driving is critical.

If you plan to drink at a barbecue or gathering, it is imperative that you have a safe plan to get home. A significant danger at the start of summer involves children–playing outside, riding their bikes or scooters–who may or may not look before entering the street.

Drinking, exhaustion, or combining alcohol with other substances like marijuana significantly reduces reaction times and impairs your ability to drive safely.

Never drive drunk or high. Make a safe plan to ensure not only your own safety but also the safety of others on the road, including children.

If you or a loved one were injured because of a reckless, drunk, or high driver, call Multerer and Blum Law for a free, no obligation consultation.
